Tea @ the Airport

Been drinking lotsa tea at the airport during my trips back to Singapore.



Tea number 1 was a warm green tea latte. Quite certain we don't have this Asian based drink in Glasgow. So healthily grassy in taste but so freakingly overpriced at S$6.20 compared to

TWG Tea Company, Ion Orchard

M and I went to this rather posh Tea place at Ion Orchard. From the moment you are greeted by the posh woody interior with gold and yellow trimmings. Walls and walls of tea jars greeted you as you walk passed them, teasing your sense of smell with tea aromas from the around the world. Ahh.... (ok enough of the cheesy stuff)

This place ain't your 24/7 kopi Tian selling Teh O, teh si and Teh peng so I was expecting some really good quality stuff and the place definately din't dissapoint.

We shared a pot of Regency tea along with 2 tea cocktails. I had the Pink beauty which consisted of watermelon juice and green tea. The flavour of watermelon was more dominant in this drink although the green tea flavour did perfused through occasionally. Refreshing!..

M had the Dulcet Rose. I like her drink better actually. The mixture of rose and lychee flavours do integrate well together.

This is the part where I totally forgotten the names of the pastries. This tasted like a strudel pastry with a pandan/kaya flavoured cream layered between the pastry. It wasn't cloyying in texture and felt really light as well. The taste of the green colour cream was one of kind for me.

Something more common. A mango moose pastry. I totally forgotten M dosen't take cream. lol.. Oh wells more for me to eat. Those tiny black strands were probably tea leaves.

Thanks M for the treat. Totally burnt a big hole in your pocket.!!!
