Cheesecake Cafe.
Met up with the cousins for supper.. boy was he funny man. Really cracked me up the whole night through.
So let's talk cake and cheesecake cafe. My sis suggested.
I think it was not too bad but not mind blowing good.. Secret recipe still better.
Here's the verdict
Strawberry Oreo: Very soft cheese layer. Oreo abit lao hong (ermm... not crunchy)
Chocolate cheesecake: Good strength of chocolate taste. Again found the texture to be a little soft for my liking.
Blueberry Cheesecake: Good berry flavours and base. I felt very comfortable with the richness of the cake. THe better one of the lot.
Walnut cheesecake: Good texture as well.. Very firm .. Walnut flavour din't shine through for me.
Chocolate truffle: Very light. Felt very moosey.. I was hoping for it to be more rich.

Overall, not too bad. Can come once and sample. Cakes slightly pricey at $7. I prefer firm cheesecakes so yea.. if you like the softer versions, you will like this place. Ambience was nice in inside with big cushion seats. Can be a bit noisy at times. Water was free flow..*thumbs up.
p.s Really really tired.

Simple Cheesecake !!!
Cheesecake can be as simple and cute as these little ones here. It took me half the amount of time to make these ramekin cheesecakes and tasted as good as the full 10 inch cakes. There's no secret that I can't divulge to making good cheesecake so pay close attention to this post.
Ingredients (makes approximately 9 cups)
-------------------------
1/2 a roll of oreo
300g Philadelphia Cheese x 2 3.00p
2 medium sized eggs
1/2 cup sugar (I'll put it up in Grams when I find out soonish)
1/2 a cup of standard small size sour cream
2 teaspoon vanilla essence
15g sieved flour
9cm Ramekins ( I got them for 1.50p a piece)
Thaw the cheese first to help soften it. Mix the cheese together with the sugar until its smooth. Pre heat oven to 160 degrees C at this stage.
Setup a water bath with boiling water fill up as high as you can go. This will help to prevent the cakes from cracking. Bake for 35mins and leave in the oven to rest for about 1-2 hours. Let the cake cool down before putting in the fridge and let it set overnight.

Cheesecake Rosasia
This is the 3rd of three cheesecakes that I made in a span of 2 weeks. For me thats a record. This cake is named Rosasia because of its origins from last year. I made a similar cake at that time with the intention to experiment with the multilayering effect of two different mixtures. It happened that I made a chocolate rose to go along with it as well. However, I wasn't very successful then . A year on, with more experience I was able to achieve much more success as you can see. The rose making skills have also improved. (I'll do a post some other time on how to make roses).
So in celebration of the success of this cake, I have decided to name it Rosasia.

S's C-elaboration Cake
I've never scrutinised the word celebration but I wonder if the word elaboration has anything to do with it. As you can see this cake is more elaborated compared to the previous cakes that I have made. Double layer, 2 more other fruits and a shiny sugar heart on top. S showed me a mario cake a long time back and asked if I could make it but that cake was made using royal icing in order to achieve the shape and colour of mario. haha Unfortunately, I lack expertise in the use of royal icing and I am not a keen fan of the stick paste. So I told her I'll make something else instead.
My research took me through tonnes of webpages to see if it was possible to make a wedding cheesecake. Apparently, they do have it hmm. but obviously they are made by professional bakers so I'll have to modify abit. Throw in a little bit of creativity and vola! My first ever double tier wedding cheesecake.
Congratulations on your engagement to Ad, it truely is a great representatino of a love that is graceful, persevering and trusting.

Happy Birthday Girl
Happy 21st girl. I know I have never made a cake for you before despite me making it for so many of my friends. So.. Here's my creation for you, a chocolate and white chocolate cheesecake with a white stripe chocolate ganache. Too bad I cant fedex it to you but I ate it on your behalf with my friends and yes it tasted really amazing.
This is the slice that I cut for you hahaha. You are probably salivating now but u will probably salivate more when I show you your present.
Anyway, I hope you've had a wonderful 21st birthday. Just want to encourage you to continue to grow and mature in this really challenging environment of adult hood. Can't say I have fully comprehended the whole concept but I can tell you the early years of it have been an eye opener and brings rewarding experiences. Continue to pursue what you want in life with passion and believe that if u put your heart and mind into it (and not facebook) you can achieve it someday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Your Kor whom u can always count on .

HongY's Blueberry Cheesecake
Thank you to HY for providing us with a blueberry cheesecake for the curry night.
As you can see there's a banana cake sitting behind the cheesecake which tasted equally nice but you can probably guess which cake i went for first.
Well Done girl!.
